How to get birds out of a wall
You may love birds a lot, but that is probably when they are outside of your home. The last thing you want is to find that there are birds that have found a way into the sanctity of your house. They can be quite disruptive on so many levels, and this is just not something you can tolerate. You simply have to have them out.
The problem is that getting birds out of your home is imaginable. It's one thing if you're trying to get them out of your attic or shed, but it is an entirely different situation if they have found their way into the walls of your home. There, they can be a complete and total disruption to every bit of the tranquility of your house.
First of all, you face the constant noise birds will make if they have gotten into the walls of your home. Their flapping and constant quaking inside the walls will make quite a loud ruckus for sure. This will not only disturb you and your family members, but is sure to make your pets absolutely crazy. That will surely make you upset every way imaginable.
Then you have the added problems of the mess that they are making within the walls of your home. It is very likely that the birds are not only dropping their feces and shedding in the walls, but they are also tearing up your drywall in your insulation at the same time. Talk about a mess! You can be sure that there would be a giant mess in there!
On top of that, you have the health concerns that birds bring to your home. Birds are the carriers of many diseases and parasites, which are left over in their feces. Each time they are defecating inside the walls of your home, they are leaving this pestilence which can create a very unsafe environment for you and your family. They simply have to go!
But how do you make that happen? Once again, it is probably fairly easy to get that out of your garage or your attic, but how do you get birds out of your walls? That is a whole different challenge altogether.
To be honest with you, it may be a little simpler than you may think. With a little ingenuity on your part, you can get those birds out of there a lot quicker than you may have imagined. You just have to use the old noodles.
It starts by locating the spot in your home where they are getting into the wall in the first place. You need to head to the outside of your home and do a thorough search for the location of where they are gaining entrance. This honestly should not be too difficult to find, considering that you probably already have a pretty clear idea of where they are located in your home. It is most likely that their entryway is quite close to where they are living inside the wall. Look around this area first. However, you should do a thorough search to make sure that there are no additional entryways. Just because you have found one entryway into their location does not mean that is the only one they are using. Check them all out!
Next, you want to see a lot of other entryways but the primary one that they are using to get into the wall. You want to make sure that you use a very heavy duty caulk to do the job, which should have steel wool placed inside the caulk as well. This will make it difficult for the birds to dig their way back into the home again.
Now, once you have the other location sealed, what you next need to do is to put a one-way exclusion funnel on the outside of your home in the primary location they are using to get into the wall. This allows the birds to get out of the wall to the outside of your home, but the door does not swing the other way. Once they are out, they are not able to get back in.
Once you have this set in place it is time to spring into action. What you want to do just after it starts to turn light outside is to start banging on the wall in creating as much ruckus as he possibly can. The playing of loud music is a good choice to use as well, with you placing the speakers as close to the wall as you can. What you want to do is really create a huge disturbance.
Startled by the events, the birds will look for a way to get out. They will head out of that one way funnel to the outside world where they will not be able to get back in again. Keep making the noise and disturbances until you are sure that all of the birds are out.
Once you are sure that all of the birds are out of the wall then what you need to do is to go out and remove the funnel off of the house and seal up that location good and tight. You want to make sure that the same techniques you use to close up other entryways are done here as well. This will keep them from being able to return. Now all that is left is for you to clean up the mess that they made with inside your wall.
